Tongariro offers summer dry-fly delights

Well that has gone and done it – the ‘secret’ is out.

The Tongariro River in the Central Plateau of the North Island of New Zealand is justifiably famous for it’s Winter (May – August) runs of very fit rainbows, but what not too many people are away of, or too easily ignore, is the wonderful dry-fly fishing over our NZ Summer.
