Lure of the big catch robs ocean of valued species

by Bishfish on June 6, 2006

A little while ago I blogged about a potential World Record hammerhead shark taken in Florida - all 1280lbs of it.

This piece via UnderwaterTimes is a very good look at the yings and yangs of killing big sharks for sport.

A very worthwhile read. Oh, and while on the subject have a look at my take on killing sharks.
