My recent enforced break from normal life did not go entirely to waste. I have put my first trout fishing book up on my site where it can be read for free, gratis and for nothing. 
The book was first published in Oct 1998, and has been reprinted several times since - but now it has run its course, so up on the site it goes.
I have corrected and up-dated some of the stuff I wrote, and added some new stuff, including more and I hope clearer diagrams.
The book is aimed primarily at new fly fishers, but it does seemed to been read by many better than novice fishers. But be warned if you are a purist, save yourself a heart attack, and count your dry flies instead
